چکیده

Abstract As different low-dimensional materials are sought to be incorporated into microelectronic devices, graphene integration is dependent on the development of band gap opening strategies. Amidst methods currently investigated, application strain and use electronic quantum confinement have shown promising results. In present work, epitaxial nanoribbons (GNR), formed by surface graphitization SiC (0001) crystalline step edges, were submitted photochemical chlorination. The incorporation Cl buffer layer underlying increased compressive uniaxial in ribbons. Such method a tool for tuning GNRs.
